EAT bring the heat with ‘Byker Drone’

Sometimes you want aband to just cut the bullshit. Stop fannying around with your multi-layered ode to the circuitry failings of the Roman Empire via Brooklyn and just write an unabashed, pounding pop song. EAT have just done that with ‘Byker Drone’ our Track of the Day.

I would love to regale you with information about the band’s conception, but quite frankly, I don’t know. What I do know though is the ‘Byker Drone’ is a bonafide hit. A chorus hooky enough to make Hugh Grant blush about the 90’s EAT could’ve possibly written the hit of the year… in January.

Having a less teenage attitude to Menace Beach the band still flirt along the pop-punk lines with every growling lick of a guitar. With a lot more balls the band have stormed in to making a tune and done so without regret, and without any failings to boot.

Take a listen and tell us we are wrong.
