East India Youth unveils 'unsettling' Beaming White video

William Doyle aka East India Youth is fast becoming one of this country’s most intriguing pop stars and his new video for the single ‘Beaming White’ does little to quash that reputation.

The track is taken from Doyle’s second album Culture of Volume, which was released on XL Recordings last month.

We have a sneaky suspicion that the change of label may have contributed to the slightly sleeker sound on the new record, but it has certainly not taken away any of the potency from this artist’s encapsulating work.

Produced by Chance Fyffe, the video is simple but effective, drawing on the track’s lyrics, which paint pictures of enveloping limbs.

Those pictures have now been brought into reality, however, and the result is the kind of unsettling ‘Beaming White’ video, which you can see below.

East India Youth will also embark on a short tour of the UK at the end of the month, starting at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on May 27th and ending at London’s Village Underground on June 4th.

Tickets are on sale now and you can purchase the album Culture of Volume via XL Recordings.
