Another release from EAGULLS and another reason to be helplessly entrenched in an intense and marauding post-punk sound. The band have released new track ‘Skipping’ ahead of their forthcoming second LP Ullages, which is out on May 13th, and it doesn’t disappoint. At all.
The thundering bass line leads you in to the track with an ever-present shadowy sound that is comforting in its danger. Coupled with heavy drums and touching vocals the band paint a bleak picture across a seemingly joyful title. Relying on textual melodies and a unerring speed has lead EAGULLS so far and they look set to continue their pursuit of artful contentedness.
Having recently completed a short tour the band have also announced some dates for May across the country, starting in their beloved Leeds they also hit out across Europe ending in Paris. Having born witness to the band’s incredible live show we suggest you make the effort to get a ticket.
