Dropkick Murphy’s Ken Casey in fight with crowd at St. Patrick’s Day show
In a recent St. Patrick’s Day in Boston show on Friday night, singer and bassist for the Dropkick Murphys, Ken Casey was involved in a “fight” with a member of the crowd. The notoriously rambunctious band clearly gave as good as they got as reported by TMZ.
Casey had offered his microphone to the crowd to take part in a song but lost his temper when the audience member refused to give back the mic. Casey scuffled with the fan, drawing blood, before being held off by security, all before he came back fro round two.
Al Barr said: “So, we’ve been doing this for a number of years, and having been here for 21 of those years, this is not new.
“I haven’t seen the old man bleed, but this is not new. See, when we invite you guys to come to one of our shows, it’s like we’re saying, ‘Come to our house,’ and when someone disrespects us, it’s like you’re disrespecting us in our own house. This is our house!”
