Well thank the Lord for Drenge. Not only have they blown the cobwebs, hangover and ears away but they have done it with a shy assertion to firmly place them in the centre of the scene. ‘Favourite Son’ is Track of the Day.
Taken from their second album Undertow the band pulsate out of the blocks and continue to hammer the drums and thrash guitars like a race car roaring down the middle of the pit lane, spitting petrol and torching the whole fucking lot of them.
Out on April 6th via Infectious Records, the track follows ‘We Can Do What We Want’ in its ability to stir the passion within. Drenge’s musical style is truly something to behold, it make Royal Blood look like big fat pussies. Its thunderous and raucous but still sincere, like the burning desire within a psychopath it bubbles and unleashes itself no holds barred.
We can’t get enough of those Loveless brothers.
We absolutely cannot wait for the new album. Get in line, suckers.
