London band Doe continue to bring a heavy hunk of grunge-tinged rock for all your thirsty ears. ‘Last Ditch’, the release from their upcoming album Some Things Last Longer than You which is out on 9th September via Specialist Subject Records, hits all the right notes and there is even a hazy as fuck video to go alongside it.
The band jokingly described the track as their “summer jam” and although this is no Mungo Jerry it does have a more light hearted feel in comparison to some of their other work add to this the double-exposure video of tiring dogs, ice creams and London’s markets and perhaps it’s closer than you think.
The band continue ”We wanted a video that reflected that as well as the lyrical themes of feeling out of control, so the three of us and our friend Emma took a camera out with us and had a nice day in the London sun. We got the test pressings of our record through the same day so there’s some shots of us listening to it on vinyl for the first time. I think our excitement comes across! I sat down and edited it together the next day and luckily it doesn’t look like shit, but I guess that’s for everyone else to decide.”
Doe will embark on a UK tour in September to support the record with a few dates beforehand to get you excited.
