Rob Zombie has confirmed that his upcoming horror film 3 from Hell is complete.
The film, written and directed by Zombie, is a follow-up to his 2003 film House of 1000 Corpses and the 2005 sequel The Devil’s Rejects. While Zombie and the production team are keeping the plot of the film unknown for the time being, it has been confirmed that 3 from Hell will be centred around the three main characters of the previous films.
With the likes of Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, and Bill Moseley all returning, Mosley has already taken the opportunity to hype up the excitement for the third instalment, saying: “All of the people who loved House of 1000 Corpses and Devil’s Rejects are going to have a luau of excitement and happiness when they see 3 from Hell. It’s going to be a crowd-pleaser. From what I’ve heard from Rob, he’s very happy and excited about what he’s got.”
He added: “It’s chockablock with gratuitous violence which is great because lately there have been a lot of good horror movies that just don’t have a lot of that.
“I mean, the violence is skillful, it’s effective, but it’s not gratuitous, and that’s what I think the fans are missing. I think we just want a lot of violence for violence’s sake—decapitations, shotguns to the face, just general ass-kickin’ stuff that we’re not really getting much of these day.”
Since then, director Zombie has taken to social media to confirm he has finished working on the project: “It took awhile to complete the trilogy but we did it,” he said while sharing behind the scenes images.
“Top pic is shooting House of 1000 Corpses in 2001 – shooting The Devil’s Rejects in 2004 and finally shooting 3 From Hell in 2018. Quite a Fucking journey to say the least,” he added.
While Zombie claims that the film is complete, he is yet to reveal any potential release date.
