‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ director wants to make a second Bruce Springsteen biopic

Scott Cooper, the director behind Deliver Me From Nowhere, has shared that he hopes to make another Bruce Springsteen biopic.

Deliver Me From Nowhere, which is in cinemas today (October 24th) and stars Jeremy Allen White as ‘The Boss’, only explores a small fraction of Springsteen’s career during the tumultuous making of his 1982 album, Nebraska.

Therefore, as there is so much left of Springsteen’s career that can be told on-screen, Cooper is open-minded about the prospect of returning to the subject matter once again in the future.

He shared with Variety at AFI Fest, “I suppose if you can make four Beatles movies, you can make a couple of Bruce Springsteen movies.” Cooper also noted, “There’s so many chapters in Bruce’s life, in all seriousness, that are quite right for cinematic treatment.”

Cooper then revealed that Springsteen shares the same mindset when it comes to making another biopic, adding, “That’s something quite honestly that Bruce and I have discussed. I think he really loves this film. He’s loved the experience.”

The director, who previously made Black Mass, continued, “I think he feels incredibly comfortable with, someone telling a very painful chapter in his life. You’d have to ask him, but I think he’s ready for more.”

Last week, Far Out was in attendance at a special event held at Spotify’s Headquarters in London, which saw White discuss Deliver Me From Nowhere with Springsteen. During the conversation, ‘The Boss’ hilariously explained his reasoning for giving the green light to Deliver Me From Nowhere, stating, “I figured, I’m 76 years old, I don’t really care what the fuck I do anymore.”

The entire Springsteen family have reacted positively to Deliver Me From Nowhere with the singer-songwriter telling the audience in London, “My sister held my hand throughout the film and said, ‘Isn’t it wonderful that we have this?’”
