Dante Elephante dazzle with ‘Never Trust a Junkie’ with help from Jonathan Rado

The newest batch of surf-pop dreaminess comes from Santa Barbara in the form of Dante Elephante. Blending a taste of dissonance with sweeter than candy licks means that we will owe Super Fan 99 a beer for putting out their latest effort ‘Never Trust a Junkie’.

The track, which will be available in a super-rare white square 7” will precede the forthcoming LP Anglo Saxon Summer. Not only was it produced by Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado but it, by the sounds of this track, will be a bit bloody good.

Their knack of making surf-pop sound English is true testament to the craft and speaks highly not only of their musicianship but of their ear for a decent tune. ‘Never Trust a Junkie’ is most definitely that.
