County Line Runner, AKA Adam Day, has shared his brand new single ‘Plastic Palm Trees’ which was produced by none other than Bill Ryder-Jones.
The gorgeous piano-led track is Day’s first release since last year’s self-titled EP and was recorded at Ryder-Jones’ Yawn Studio in West Kirby.
Speaking of the track Adam said: “Life as a parent and living alone are both still pretty new to me. After my son stays and goes back to his mums this empty silence kind of descends and that feeling is where the song started.
“The lyrics in a strange way seem to reflect current events so it felt like the right time to put this song out into the world.”
The chorus sees Day sing ‘Is This Real Life, Baby?’ which sees him captivatingly reflect on his new life of unfamiliar territory, which is more relevant than ever to listeners who are all currently going through a change in life as we once knew it and adapting to the uncharted scenario we find ourselves in.
