Communions go pop with ‘Eternity’

The flip side to the recent release on their new label Fat Possum, Communions are continuing to channel Manc-pop with their latest effort ‘Eternity’. The band have long time been on our radar and the latest release just affirms what we have said countless times before; this band will be the cause of some unexpected pregnancies.

Managing to add grit to a love letter is something worth noting and the Copenhagen based band have that ability in spades. They keep the pop sensibilities which made their influences in 80’s indie and Manchester pop hum with desire whilst still conjuring up the imagery of their surroundings.

‘Eternity’ is another baby maker. It sings a love struck sound, penetrates the heart with lyrics, and the brain with its methodical rhythm.

It’s a hit.
