Coldplay have announced their return and will release a brand new double album on November 22nd.
The news, which has been confirmed in a typewritten letter which was sent to a fan, will be split into two halves and called Sunrise and Sunset. The letter reads: “For the last 100 years or thereabouts we have been working ona thing called Everyday Life.”
Coldplay’s letter continues: “In the classifieds you might write ‘double album for sale, one very careful owner.’”
Fans began speculation whether or not the eagerly anticipated follow-up to last Coldplay’s record, A Head Full Of Dreams, was fake or real when the band then uploaded a cryptic message to their website and social media channels.
“Fake alert!” Coldplay fan Lena Tayara said in Twitter when showing the letter. “Got this in the post this morning… Can’t see why anybody would send it.” After being reassured that the letter was legitimate, she added: “If I’d known that card was genuine I would have put on a nicer tablecloth before I took the pics.
“But thanks for the card – I’m AMAZED and very touched.”
