Cocteau Twins announce ‘Garlands’ and ‘Victorialand’ vinyl reissues
Rejoice, shoegaze vinyl collectors, Cocteau Twins have announced they will be reissuing their debut album Garlands from 1982 and their fourth album Victorialand from 1986.
The new vinyl reissues will arrive on March 20th and will feature remastered audio and downloads for all the tracks featured on the two seminal records.
The album artwork remains faithful to Vaughan Oliver and artist Nigel Grierson’s originals. It’s the first time since 2009 that Garlands had been in print while it’s the first time since the eighties that Victorialand has had another run.
4AD shared the announcement via their Twitter account captioning the post: “Both represses will be pressed on 140g black vinyl, using audio remastered from the original analogue tapes and with art faithful to their original 23 Envelope designs.”
