Chvrches take on Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ for Spotify
Another day and another incredible cover from Chvrches, as they take on Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ as part of the Spotify Singles project which is continuing to bring us some of the best new covers.
The series sees artists take on a mega-hit as well as performing their own track in the Spotify studios in New York. The project has seen St Vincent, the National and many others have already taken up the challenge and now Chvrches have added another.

Their choice was to have a go at Rihanna’s mega-pop-hit ‘Stay’ taken from Rihanna’s 2012 album ‘Unapologetic’. The band moved away from their usual synth-pop sound to strip it all back and go all acoustic on us. They then went on to provide a recording of a live version of their own track ‘Get Out’, from most recent album ‘Love Is Dead’.
