Christopher Nolan crashed a real plane into a building for ‘Tenet’
It has been revealed by Tenet star John David Washington that Christopher Nolan crashed a real plane into a building for one of the upcoming thriller’s full-throttle sequences.
The crash in question is briefly teased at the end of the latest trailer for the spy thriller, which is being highly anticipated as being one of Nolan’s most intriguing pieces of work ahead of its scheduled premiere date later in the summer.
Washington plays the film’s unnamed lead and whilst he was in conversation with CinemaBlend he revealed that that the entire cast and crew on the set cheered when Nolan pulled off the optimistic shot featuring the Boeing 747.
“That was a real plane, and that was a real building that they crashed that plane into,” he said. “And we, cast and crew, all witnessed it. It was epic! It was incredible, we all cheered and hurrayed and hurrahed when they yelled cut after Chris felt like he got it. What you saw is really what happened – at least the night I was there.”
Currently, there is little to no information on what the film is despite it being due to hit cinemas in less than two months. But it is set to star Washington alongside Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and former Eastenders man turned Hollywood star Himesh Patel.
