Christine and The Queens shares cover of Neil Young’s ‘Heart Of Gold’
Christine and The Queens has shared yet another excellent cover from self-isolation, this time she has taken to covering Neil Young‘s ‘Heart Of Gold’.
The version of Neil Young’s classic feels personable and like Héloïse Letissier has put real time into creating her own unique spin on the track, the effort she has put in has also certainly reaped dividends as it is a real piece of art.
Her latest cover comes after she did a rendition of Travis Scott’s ‘Highest In The Room’ that she not so subtly captioned “the morning after 4/20” which gave fans a not-so-subtle insight into her reasoning behind covering Scott. What makes this version even more incredible is when she switches it up and starts performing in her native French tongue halfway through the track.
Letissier also took part in Lady Gaga’s extraordinary One World: Together At Home livestream, performing two tracks from La Vita Nuova being ‘People, I’ve Been Sad’ and ‘Mountains (we met)’ as well as taking to cover Steve Lacy‘s ‘N Side’ in March and a version of The Weeknd‘s ‘Blinding Lights’. The enigmatic singer also treated fans further last Friday by featuring on Mark Ronson’s wonderous ‘Love Lockdown’ stream alongside the likes of Miley Cyrus, Tame Impala and many more.
