Charlie Sheen reveals details of “weird” drug-fuelled sexual encounters with men
Former Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen has discussed his sexual experiences in his new memoir, The Book of Sheen.
The actor, whose wild antics first made waves back in 2011 in his infamous ‘winning’ interview where he claimed to have “tiger blood”, has revealed to People that he has nothing to hide. He expressed a desire to be as open as possible about his past ahead of the release of the book.
“It’s fucking liberating,“ he commented, “[to] just talk about stuff. It’s like a train didn’t come through the side of the restaurant. A fucking piano didn’t fall out of the sky. No one ran into the room and shot me.”
He has found it particularly liberating to lift the lid on his sexual encounters with men, which he admits began while he was smoking a lot of crack. “That’s what started it,” Sheen told Good Morning America.
“That’s where it was born, or sparked,“ the Platoon actor continued. “And in whatever chunks of time that I was off the pipe, trying to navigate that, trying to come to terms with it — ‘Where did that come from?… Why did that happen?’ — and then just finally being like, ‘So what?’ So what?“
Reflecting on the specifics, he added, “Some of it was weird. A lot of it was fucking fun. And life goes on.” Beyond his ambivalence to the experiences, he has also found discussing them very therapeutic, adding, “I’m not going to run from my past, or let it own me.”
Sadly, Sheen also contracted HIV during this period and found himself blackmailed by his houseguests. However, he made this public in 2015, and is seemingly set to reveal everything else about the tumultuous period moving forward. “The stories I can remember anyway,” he jokes.
Alongside his memoir, Sheen is also set to star in a new Netflix documentary titled aka Charlie Sheen. It is due for release on September 10th.
His memoir will be available from September 9th.
