Charlie Robinson, known primarily for playing court clerk Mac in the classic sitcom series Night Court passed away on Sunday at the age of 75.
It is believed that he was living with cancer and suffered a cardiac arrest as a result of the health strains while in his Los Angeles home.
Robinson was a working actor for more than 50 years, appearing on the big screen in the likes of The River, Secret Santa, Set It Off and Even Money. As well as Night Court he also appeared in various other TV series, including Home Improvement, Buffalo Bill and NCIS.
The Houston, Texas native began his life in entertainment as both a stage actor and a member of the R&B group Archie Bell and the Drells and various other musical outings.
This passion for all things entertainment pushed him into various positions in the industry. He directed three episodes of Night Court over its run, and he recently spent 27 in quarantine with Wendell Pierce creating a play.
Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and colleagues for the late actor who is survived by his wife Dolorita and his children Luca, Charlie, Christian and Byron.
