Charli XCX to play intimate New York and London shows
Charli XCX is set to play two intimate shows in New York and London to coincide with her new album, Music, Fashion, Film.
The new album, which is set to arrive on July 24th, features the singles, ‘Wink Wink’, ‘Rock Music’, and ‘SS26‘.
Before it arrives on shelves and streaming platforms, Charli will be taking to the stage at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York on July 10th.
Then, after giving 650 lucky New Yorkers the chance to hear a sneak peek of Music, Fashion, Film, she will be returning to home soil for a special performance at the Scala in London on July 14th.
Sadly, for anybody hoping to attend, both shows, which were reportedly alerted to fans through a text message, have already sold out.
However, Charli is also giving her audience another chance to hear the new record in advance at listening parties, taking place in independent cinemas across 25 different cities this week.
The events, which are taking place between July 9th and 11th, will pop up in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Santa Cruz, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Toronto, London, Manchester, São Paolo, Mexico City, Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and Tokyo.
Each listening party will take place inside an independent cinema, with the UK venues being confirmed as the Savoy Cinema Heaton Moor in Stockport, Manchester, and The Castle Cinema in London.
Charli XCX’s new North American tour is set to kick off in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 11th. The run will continue for a further 11 dates, visiting places such as Brooklyn, Washington, and Los Angeles before wrapping up on October 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At this stage, there is no word about a UK tour, but she is due to headline Reading and Leeds, alongside Florence and the Machine, Fontaines DC, and Dave, this summer, which likely explains why there has been no announcement as of yet.
