Britney Spears announces her first solo art exhibition
Britney Spears is preparing work to be shown at her first ever debut solo art exhibition.
The iconic pop star, who has dominated the music charts since her the release of her album …Baby One More Time in 1999, has added painter to her CV after posting a video of her painting to social media in 2017.
“Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!” Spears famously wrote in a caption of a clip showing her working on a painting of flowers while the sound of Mozart was delicately accompanying the video.
Now, Galerie Sympa, an exhibition space located in the southwestern village of Figeac, has confirmed a collaboration with the singer in what will be her debut art show. “We’re thrilled to announce that we will be opening Britney Spears first solo show in a contemporary art gallery on Saturday, January 18 2020, from 6-9 PM,” the gallery said in a statement posted online.
The exhibition is expected to prove extremely popular based on the notion that Spears’ flower painting was sold at a Las Vegas charity auction back in 2017 for $10,000. “The flowers in my painting represent a new beginning, and it’s in that spirit that we move forward,” Spears said at the time.
The gallery are yet to confirm more details about the specifics of Spears’ debut show but follow their Instagram for forthcoming updates.
