Bon Iver isn’t happy with Bruno Mars’ Grammy Wins

Bon Iver has highlighted the relevant redundancy of The Grammys in some tweets aimed at The Grammys amnd in turn Bruno Mars, who last night swept the awards in what has baffled many critics.

Bruno Mars won all six awards for which he was nominated at the 2018 Grammy Awards: Album of the Year (24K Magic), Record of the Year (“24K Magic”), Song of the Year (“That’s What I Like”), Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Album. (24K Magic also won Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.)

Mars beat out Jay-Z, SZA, Kendrick Lamar and many other notable artists who probably should’ve won their categories and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon made it clear how he felt about the situation. “Absolutely NO offense to Mr Mars, but you absolutely have to be shitting me, while some awesome musicians do win, what is WINNING?”

He continued to attack the show as he also referenced the recently surfaced quotes form the Recording Academy President Neil Portnow when he suggested that women “step up” to combat a lack of nominations and winners at the 2018 show.
