Bob Dylan to headline Denmark’s Roskilde Festival
Bob Dylan and his band have been named the headliners of the 2019 Roskilde Festival.
The Danish music festival, held annually south of Roskilde, is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in Northern Europe. Dylan, who is returning to the festival, will be joined by the likes of The Cure, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Mo, Robert Plant and more.
“It’s now been 13 years since he last visited us, so for many of our young participants this could be the first and maybe only time they will have the chance to see an artist of such importance,” programme director Anders Wahrén told DR.
“Bob Dylan’s cultural impact can almost not be overstated, even if you don’t also consider his personal, literary or political awareness and engagement,” Wahrén added.
Dylan, who will be 78 when he performs, will play the Danish festival’s main Orange Stage on July 3rd, Roskilde Festival confirmed.
