Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, the creative duo who pioneered the new wave and punk scene of the mid-late 1970s, have announced a string of conversational tour dates.
Having been added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their work with Blondie, Harry and Stein have remained extremely close in both a personal and professional capacity since the early ’70s and continue to create music through the band since their reformed in 1997.
Having released their most recent album, Pollinator, in 2017, Harry and Stein have been busy working on their side projects. Alongside their musical success, Stein and Harry have often collaborated in the art world with Stein’s hugely popular photography books of which the Blondie lead singer has been heavily included.
Now, for the first time, the Blondie co-founders have decided to hit the road in a conversational sense with a string of Q&A tour dates which will begin in April. “I’ve always loved the way Chris tells stories,” Harry said in a statement. “I think you will too.”
The shows will begin in Glasgow on April 22nd before stops at Birmingham, Manchester and, finally, the Barbican in London.
