Blake Lively wins further battle in case against Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively has won another battle in her court case against Justin Baldoni, with a judge granting her the right to deliver her deposition at her attorney’s office.

The actor will give evidence to the case on July 17th, in which she has accused her It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni of sexual misconduct and a smear campaign. He vehemently denies these allegations.

However, according to Page Six, a judge has now ruled that she can provide her statement from the office of her attorney rather than at the office of Baldoni’s attorney to avoid a paparazzi frenzy.

In response, Baldoni’s lawyers said Lively was using her “celebrity status” in an attempt to manipulate the case, arguing that the location of her deposition makes little difference as the two offices are only situated a mile apart.

His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, made a statement which said: “Although Lively’s foot-stomping and use of her celebrity status may have enabled her to seize control of the film, which is the crux of this dispute, her counsel’s tantrum has no place in this Court.”

Lively’s upcoming statement to the case comes a month after a judge threw out Baldoni’s $400 million counterclaim against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist for extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy that the director and actor had made in January.

Lively subsequently wrote on Instagram Stories at the time: “I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.”

Following Lively’s deposition and the collection of further evidence on both sides, the case is expected to head to court in March 2026.
