Blake Lively sues ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment

Hollywood actor Blake Lively is suing It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment.

According to the lawsuit, which TMZ obtained, tension was high between the two co-stars during filming. After Lively complained about the working environment, a meeting was held with the studio, Sony Pictures, to lay down ground rules for the rest of the production.

The publication claims they agreed there would be “no more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake, no more mention of Baldoni’s alleged previous ‘pornography addiction,’ no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s dead father.”

The lawsuit allegedly states they said the studios agreed there would be “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project.”

It’s also alleged that Baldoni and Lively further disagreed regarding the marketing of the Coleen Hoover novel adaptation.

In a statement to People, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has claimed that Lively’s lawsuit has been filed to “fix her negative reputation.” Additionally, Freedman slammed Lively’s allegations regarding Baldoni’s behaviour as “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt.”

The legal representative also made accusations regarding Lively’s behaviour on set, alleging, “threatening to not showing up to set, threatening to not promote the film, ultimately leading to its demise during release.”

Baldoni is yet to directly comment on the lawsuit.

Long before the lawsuit, Baldoni told Elle UK about his challenging experience making the movie: “There are all these things that happen every day on set, there’s always friction that happens when you make a movie like this. Then at the end of the day, it’s that friction, I believe, that creates the beautiful art.”

He also claimed the difficulties improved him as a director and actor, adding, “Everything in life needs friction to grow. And look, we created something so beautiful and so magical, and it was hard, and it was worth it at the same time. And I grew so much as both a filmmaker, an actor and as a person throughout this experience.”

It Ends With Us is currently streaming on Netflix.
