Black Honey preview the debut album with 'I Only Hurt The Ones I Love'

Black Honey have been skirting around the scene for a few years but have now reached another milestone with the announcement of their self-titled debut LP which is due out on 21st September. Alongside that news they’ve given us a taste of what’s to come with new song ‘I Only Hurt The Ones I Love’ the follow up to May’s release ‘Bad Friends’.

The opener for the new album has a lot of rock and roll swagger born in the swooning seventies, but the delivery feels fresh and nuanced. It sees Izzy Phillips strut across the airwaves, while in the video for the same song she puts on her spurs and goes all spaghetti western.

A cinematic video says that the band means business with this release, they seem intent on making a statement and with this new track they surely are marking their own cards for success.

Take a listen to the track and watch the video below.
