It’s been a known fact that President Trump hasn’t been exactly covered in glory when dealing with the arts, and equally as known is the outpouring of hatred towards the Cheeto-faced one from the members of the arts communities.
One staunch supporter of the President’s impeachment has been Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Day, who recently made a strong statement “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!” at the American Music Awards.
BJA took one recent tweet from Trump very badly, after the President went toe-to-toe with an equally small-penised man Kim Jong Un. The singer replied to the tweet with “This isn’t funny. This is our president acting like a madman drunk on power THREATENING to kill innocent starving people by way of nuclear war. The 25th amendment needs to be enforced. This man is sick and unfit for office. I don’t care if your liberal or conservative … this has to stop. Please share #impeachtrump.”
One Trump supporter took to the Green Day singer’s Instagram to state “I hate to sound like a dick Billie but you are liberal and people have the right to support trump and whatever you say won’t change anything to trump supporters,”
Armstrong didn’t take too kindly to that and said: “Well then go fuck your self you stupid piece of shit. If that’s the way you feel about mass destruction and murder then fuck off. Stay the fuck off my Instagram and don’t come back. Don’t listen to my fucking records. I have no problem telling ignorant fucks like you to go to hell. That goes for any other stupid fucks that think this behavior should normalized. Get the fuck out!”
It’s worrisome that little battles like this are managing to smokescreen the larger issue, but nevertheless they do break up the day, and it’s always nice to see punks stick to their guns, guns which are firmly aimed at a President.
