Billie Eilish has teased her forthcoming stripped-back single, ‘Happier Than Ever’.
Eilish has shared a 15-second clip across her social media platforms, which simply used the song title as the caption. The pop superstar can be heard by viewers in the clip singing the line, “When I’m away from you / I’m happier than ever”. Eilish had previously teased the track in her documentary, The World’s A Little Blurry.
This film is the second documentary that Eilish has released and follows her crazy rise over the last couple of years. The World’s A Little Blurry is directed by R.J. Cutler, who was given an all-access pass to Eilish to create the documentary.
“I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for Covid,” she recently said about a new album during an appearance on Colbert, adding: ‘When things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is.”
Last year her brother, Finneas, discussed with the Herald Sun how he didn’t want the new Eilish album released until the end of the pandemic.
He said: “I have a desperate desire not to release them during COVID-19. It’s the vaccine record. I want it to be the album everyone’s out dancing in the streets to.
“Billie and I are full steam ahead on her next record, I’m working on my own album too. I haven’t suffered at all because of my set-up,” he told the publication.
