If you were unaware, today is Bill & Ted day. Largely based on the American formation of calendar dates but June 9th has been declared Bill & Ted day for some time. Now though, it’s been given the kudos it deserves as the first trailer for the new film has landed.
Bill & Ted Face The Music will arrive on August 21st and see Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as Theodore Logan and William ‘Bill’ S. Preston respectively for the new flick. Now, Orion has shared the first two tasters.
As well as the first visual preview, which adds a little more colour to the original premise of the third film, Orion has also shared the new poster too. It’s just the light relief one needs in these darker than average times.
The trailer shows a little more of the story and puts Bill and Ted on yet another time-travelling mission, this time to the future to steal the song that unites the universe… from themselves.
It also sees the duo’s daughters get in on the act as Thea Preston (Samara Weaving) and Billie Logan (Brigette Lundy-Paine) join in on the fun.
Steven Soderbergh has produced and approved the film which also stars Kid Cudi, Anthony Carrigan, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, the late George Carlin in repurposed footage, and there’s even William Sadler returning as Death.
