Belle and Sebastian were almost forced to cancel a show after they accidentally left their drummer Richard Colburn at a Walmart in North Dakota.
The band, who are touring the States, were on route to another gig in St Paul, Minnesota before stopping off for refreshments on the road. However, without realising, the Scottish band hit the road in their bus and fell asleep before realising they had left Colburn stranded without a phone.
“Shit, we left Richard in North Dakota. Anyone want to be a hero and get him to St Paul, Minnesota somehow. The gig hangs in the balance,” frontman Stuart Murdoch tweeted.

Thanks for your help folks. We have Richard on a plane now, so everything is ok. He's in his pyjamas, sitting with a mimosa 😉🍸

Murdoch went on to further clarify the mishap: “The thing is, he was probably thinking that somebody was going to notice, but the trouble is everybody went to bed,” he said.
“With a band our size… it’s like herding cats so it’s maybe not surprising that something like this happened.”
A new sign appeared on our bus. Should be ok now..😉 pic.twitter.com/mrGvBgq5ca
