Beastie Boys have announced that a brand new photo book with their longtime collaborator Spike Jonze. It will be a chronicle of the band’s journey to success.
Titled very simply as Beastie Boys the new book will arrive March 17th via Rizzoli and will be compiled of shots of the band taken by Jonze throughout their long and illustrious career.
The group first met Jonze on the video of ‘Sabotage’ and begun what would be a long and fruitful partnership with one another. This is where the photo book begins and sees images from Jonze’s lens all the way up until the 1999 cover shoot for their greatest hits album The Sounds of Science.
Jonze also goes on to contribute the afterword for the book where he praises the creativity and passion of the band. Beasties Mike D and Ad-Rock also contribute to the project.
