Baxter Dury announces new album ‘Allbarone’ and shares title track

Baxter Dury has announced his new album Allbarone, and has also released the titular track as a lead single alongside it.

The record, which will be released on September 12th, 2025, comes as Dury’s ninth studio effort. However, it is his first to be produced by chart mogul Paul Epworth, who is behind some major albums in recent years from the likes of Adele and Florence and the Machine.

Reflecting on the album as well as its lead single, Dury said: “This is the first track that Paul Epworth and I made and it quickly established why it was a good idea that we were working together. It’s a song about sitting in the rain outside an All Bar One contemplating why what just happened, happened in the way it did.”

The singer added: “It’s kind of a character arc that goes through the whole thing, two personalities,” he explains. “It’s very critical of people, this album, whoever they are, maybe some bloke with a moustache and sockless loafers in Shoreditch or a fat old Chiswick gangster lording it up in a really comfortable middle-class part of London.”

Across the span of Allbarone’s nine tracks, Dury mused, “it does sound really contemporary,” but that it heralded a new era for him as, “It’s just something that’s brand new for me. It’s quite exciting, really.”

After the album comes out, Dury will head on a British and European tour in November this year, performing shows across the UK and Ireland in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Brighton, and Bristol. He will also culminate with his biggest ever show at London’s Eventim Apollo on November 22nd.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on May 9th at 10am, while Allbarone will be released on September 12th, 2025.
