Banksy confirms responsibility for new artwork in London

Banksy has taken responsibility for a mysterious new artwork in Bayswater, London.

The piece appeared on December 22nd at Queen’s Mews in Bayswater, and hours later, the mysterious graffiti artist confirmed to the world that it was his work.

The artwork shows two children lying down on the floor, wrapped up in winter jackets and bobble hats, stargazing while one of them points up towards the sky.

Intriguingly, a similar piece of art appeared near Tottenham Court Road also on December 22nd, but Banksy has yet to take responsibility for this creation.

As is tradition for Banksy, he took to Instagram on December 22nd to confirm it was his work and shared two photos of the art that is currently situated in Bayswater.

The BBC has stated that he is also responsible for the Tottenham Court Road art, but, at this stage, he has only confirmed the Bayswater mural.

Notably, the Tottenham Court Road piece was located by the Centre Point building, which is a charity that combats youth homelessness between 16 to 25-year-olds and could be the message that Banksy wants to raise awareness of this Christmas.

However, in true Banksy style, it will be left to the eyes of the beholder to decipher the true meaning behind his latest work.

The last Banksy, before today, arrived in September and depicted a judge attacking a protester with a gavel outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London. It was seemingly a reference to the arrests of pro-Palestine protestors, who have appeared at demonstrations against the ban of Palestine Action.
