Award-winning composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has died, aged 48
Jóhann Jóhannsson, the award-winning Icelandic composer, has died, his manager has confirmed.
Jóhannsson, was born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland, passed away on Friday February 9th in Berlin. He is survived by his parents, sisters, and daughter.
Having earned huge acclaim after scoring films including The Theory of Everything, Sicario, and Arrival, Jóhannsson’s cause of death is yet to be announced.
He won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for his original composition for the aforementioned James Marsh film Theory of Everything.
