Are Arctic Monkeys set to play a series of huge hometown shows?
Arctic Monkeys are being rumoured to return to Sheffield in September to play a string of massive homecoming shows, the first time they will have played in their home city in five years.
The rockers are expected to reveal details of their long-awaited sixth album imminently after they announced their return to the stage by sharing a huge run of festival dates throughout 2018 which will see them cover the globe. So far, they have only one UK show in the pipeline which is headlining Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival.
It was reported last week that Alex Turner and co. turned down the chance to headline Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival 10th Anniversary however; rumours are now rife that they could play huge shows at Hillsborough Park in September.
The Sheffield Star has reported there is a notice in Sheffield, stating that SJM Concerts are planning an event at Hillsborough Park this September, providing live music and the sale of alcohol for up to four days, which fans are assuming is AM related.
