Arctic Monkeys fans waited in line for hours in Sheffield to be in with a chance of landing limited-edition, gold vinyl version of the band’s new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.
Having put on an international event to coincide with the release of their new record, Arctic Monkey put together a pop up store and mini film festival which took place especially for the fans based in select countries and featured unique, rare and limited album and merchandise items that won’t be on sale anywhere else. A selection of hand-picked films such as The Conversation, The Last Waltz, Inherent Vice and more where all played at the event.
However, the main draw was undoubtedly the gold vinyl version of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino which was only on sale on the band’s hometown of Sheffield.
Only 2,044 gold records were made available and fans stood in line from midnight in order to get their hands on one.
Looks pretty tasty to be fair.
