Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders shares new music in collaboration with Sheffield bar

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has produced a soundtrack for new Sheffield bar ‘Public’.

Helders, 31, hasn’t released any new music with Arctic Monkeys since the 2013 release of album AM, but has been busy on work outside the band having collaborated with Iggy Pop, Josh Homme and most recently with pop music icon Lady Gaga.

With speculation of a new Monkeys album coming soon, Helders has returned to his native – and much-loved – Yorkshire homeland to help out a new bar that is launching in his city of Sheffield.

With a mix of pop soundscapes and some unfamiliar electronic beats, Helders iconic high-pitched vocals can be heard in the new advert:
