Arctic Monkeys have announced a planned photo exhibition to coincide with their upcoming UK arena dates.
The Sheffield band, who are touring their new album Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino which was released in May, will have the exhibition on show before the Sheffield and London shows.
We’re told that the exhibition will feature photos taken by the band’s official photographer Zackery Michael and feature previously unseen photos taken during the making and promoting of their new record.
On top of all that, Arctic Monkeys fans will able to catch a glimpse of the titular resort along with art posters from each of the live shows held so far this year. Elsewhere, an exclusive short video filmed during the making of the album by Arctic Monkeys’ videographer Ben Chappell will be screened.
“They are more than the Arctic Monkeys to me,” photographer Michael said in a press release. “These four gentlemen from Yorkshire are my friends. The images exhibited are a very honest portrayal of that friendship.”
All images will be signed and on sale in a limited edition capacity in a bid to raise money for charity Centrepoint, which supports homeless 16-25-year-olds.
On top of that, the band have partnered with The Big Issue to publish a bunch of the photos from the exhibition. The exclusive eight-page supplement will be published in the most recent edition.
To celebrate Arctic Monkeys forthcoming shows at London’s @TheO2 and Sheffield's @SheffieldArena, photographer Zackery Michael has curated an exhibition which will run during the week of the shows in each city.
