The power of social media: Angine de Poitrine upgrade UK and Ireland tour and add extra London date
Anonymous Canadian math-rock duo, Angine de Poitrine, have announced venue upgrades and an extra date at London‘s Troxy on their upcoming UK and Ireland tour due to incredible demand.
The allusive pair, consisting of Khn de Poitrine on microtonal guitars and vocals and Klek de Poitrine on percussion and vocals, recently announced the tour in support of their sophomore album, Vol II, released earlier this month.
Now, they have expanded their current touring plans, adding a second night at London’s Troxy on October 20th, as well as venue upgrades for Glasgow, Dublin, and Leeds due to phenomenal levels of interest.
Their show in Glasgow on October 14th, which was initially slated for SWG3 Galvanizers, will now take place in the O2 Academy.
Two dates later, they will follow this up with a show in Dublin, which was originally slated for Opium, but will now see the alien virtuosos take the stage in Vicar Street.
Additionally, the pair will play O2 Academy in Leeds on October 18th, which has been initially upgraded from Project House.
Since the release of their debut album, Vol I, in 2024, the duo slowly gained a cult of followers before achieving widespread recognition when their alternative, funky, and alluring KEXP live recorded session accumulated millions of views.
In a glowing four-and-a-half-star review of the latest release, Far Out observed, “Amid the microtonal menagerie is searing originality that deserves to be applauded in an age where human ingenuity is supposedly under threat. Vol II knocks that notion to the moon with startling silliness and laughable virtuosity.”
