Angelo De Augustine has shared his new song, ‘Santa Barbara’, which comes in collaboration with Sufjan Stevens.
The single, which includes vocals and guitar contributions from Stevens, sees De Augustine in contemplative mood as he sings: “All this life has been a disguise/Except for the hand in mine,” while the video shows him walking around an isolated beach.
“‘Santa Barbara’ touches on the uncertainties and realities of being mortal in the landscape that we view through our experience,” De Augustine explains in a statement.
He adds: “Displaying ghostly apparitions, love, death, and a famous British novelist. It was a good experience to record this song with my friend Sufjan. I look forward to sharing more soon.”
The song arrives after De Augustine released his Thomas Bartlett-produced studio album, Tomb, last year.
For now though, enjoy ‘Santa Barbara’.
