Angel Olsen has joined forces with Hand Habits to deliver a special rendition of Tom Petty song ‘Walls’.
The performance arrived as part of Cosmic Stream 2, a ticketed event which was recently held at the Masonic Temple in Asheville, North Carolina. The show was produced by Angel Olsen, presented by Swing Left and shot by Ashley Connor.
The original song, recorded by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and released in 1996, arrived as the first single to be taken from the band’s soundtrack album Songs and Music from ‘She’s the One‘.
While the original song featured Lindsey Buckingham on background vocals, Hand Habit’s very own Meg Duffy was alongside Olsen for the revamped edition.

In other Angel Olsen-related news, the singer recently released a Mark Ronson remix of her song ‘New Love Cassette’.
The track, taken from lat year’s album All Mirrors, has become a fan favourite both live and on streaming platforms. Ronson’s remix of the song turns it into a dark, glitchy ode to romance. “I’m gonna help you see when you’re hard to find / Gonna gather strength, give you all my mind / Wanna show you my love all the time // Wanna hold you close and let you lie,” Olsen sings.
“The entire process of making All Mirrors has been about letting these songs become something bigger than what I can hear alone,” says Olsen. “Though I know I’ll always be a songwriter at heart, and I’ll always keep a little bit for myself, I still love to experiment with material and to see what others hear when it comes to sonic backgrounds.”
Discussing the remix, she added: “A song can go in so many directions if you let it, I love hearing what Ronson hears in this remix of ‘New Love Cassette.’”
Ronson adds: “It’s hard to remix a song you already love this much, but I dusted off my MPC 3000 and we had a grand old time.”
