Amy Winehouse hologram tour set for 2019


Amy Winehouse’s father has confirmed that a hologram tour is in the works,

According to a statement from Mitch Winehouse, the shows are will debut in 2019 and feature a live band along with vocals from Winehouse’s original recordings.

“We felt this would be a tremendous way for Amy both to revisit her fans through a hologram, and also an incredible way to raise money for our foundation,” Mitch Winehouse said in a statement by confirming that all proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words,” he added.

“Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”

“We will do the best we can in terms of honouring her legacy,” Brian Becker, Chief Executive of BASE Hologram, added. “This is a celebration.”

The gigs are expected to last between 75 to 110 minutes and will be taken on a worldwide tour.
