Amen Dunes release new track ‘Lilac In Hand’
After recently announcing news of his upcoming album, Love, which is set for release on May 12th via Sacred Bones, New York-based Amen Dunes has unveiled a new video and single from the forthcoming record. The band is also announcing a string of UK and EU tour dates, including support slots for both Mac de Marco and Wooden Shjips.
Originally born out of a collection of songs made in the autumn of 2006 in upstate New York, the intimate sentiment shines through on what were originally personal recordings, not intended for public release.
The video for the new single, ‘Lilac In Hand’, offers another intimate and warm look into the forthcoming album. The melancholic video, shot on 16mm film in late winter Montreal, was created and directed by the experimental filmmaker and Godspeed You! Black Emperor collaborator Karl Lemieux.
As previously mentioned, Amen Dunes will be hitting UK shores this summer.
The band is going to commence its run with an outing at The Old Market in Brighton before moving to Sound Control in Manchester.
Following a performance in London, they will start taking care of their other European appointments, stopping by Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Antwerp and Brussels.
