New on Amazon Prime February 2021: The best movies and series
Let’s be honest, we owe our sanity to essential workers as well as streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. 2020 has been the absolute worst with the pandemic confining us amidst the four dreary walls of our apartments. However, we have binged on as many shows and films as possible, hoping for a better 2021.
Cometh 2021 and surprise! The dreadful pandemic is still here. Yet so are the streaming platforms whose comforting embrace will help us get by. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, what can people do during the pandemic except sit at home and binge on new series and films? While couples are planning movie nights, the single people are looking for some new shows or films to drown themselves in. This is the perfect time to look at the newest additions to Amazon prime in February.
While the platform already streams fan-favourites such as Inception, Joker, Interstellar, The Pursuit of Happyness, Brokeback Mountain and more, the newest additions will include old-time favourites such as Moulin Rouge, Shanghai Noon, the Prestige, Dazed and Confused, among others.
Among all the new releases, the one that I, personally, am most excited for is Mike Cahill’s Bliss which will see Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson come together in a film which will, much like Matrix, talk about us being stuck in the simulacrum. The trailer seems quite promising, and great things are expected from this Amazon Prime original after 2020 saw some of the best releases including the gripping Pataal Lok, Hanna, Upload and more.
