Alvvays share video for ‘Dreams Tonite’

Following on from their LP Antisocialites which was released last week, Alvvays have returned with another treat for fans. One of the stand out tracks form the album gets a sparkly new video.

‘Dreams Tonite’ is notably pop-tinged and quite transparently dream-like. Fitting then that the video sees the band perform with a cloud of nostalgia as the splice their own performance with footage of the Montreal Exposition in 1967.

“Canada was at its coolest 50 years ago in Montreal at Expo ’67 […] We fetishize retro-futurism and are thrilled our buddy Matt Johnson was able to facilitate our half-century temporal trip back to peak pop and op.” the band said, as reported by Pitchfork.
