All Points East confirms Covid-19 status required for entry

London’s All Points East festival has confirmed that in order to gain entry to this year’s festival, ticket holders will have to show proof of their current COVID-19 status.

The annual festival hosted in London’s Victoria Park will welcome Jamie xx, Kano, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jorja Smith and Foals to the acclaimed gathering this August Bank Holiday weekend.

Although England dropped all pandemic-induced restrictions yesterday in what was dubbed ‘Freedom Day’ (July 19), this has come with the caveat for many venues that you must provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test or your double vaccination in order to gain entry and stop the resurgent spread.

All Points East announced they would do just that in a statement that read: “Through all the uncertainty around summer festivals, we have been busy carefully planning for every eventuality. Following Monday’s government briefing and the excellent news surrounding the festival calendar, we are beyond delighted to share that All Points East will be going ahead as planned in August 2021!”

Adding, “We want to provide the very best fan experience and keep our visitors safe, therefore in line with advice and guidance from the UK and local government, you will be required to present your NHS COVID Pass to gain access to All Points East, and to help us to reduce the risk of COVID-19. More details on the pass can be found on our website and the NHS website.”

In short, if you are attending the festival then you will have to prove you have received your second jab at least 14 days prior to entry, a negative PCR or lateral flow test within 48 hours of entry or proof of natural immunity via PCR within 180 days of the event.
