All Points East has announced that the 2021 edition of the East London festival has been rescheduled for August Bank holiday weekend, which, as well as being a guaranteed party weekend, also comes with a stellar line-up led by Jamie xx, Kano and Slowthai.
With the news that festivals will be allowed to go ahead in the latter part of 2021 following governmental guidelines, All Points East has moved to quickly get our hearts fluttering with the prospect of a weekend in the sun, singing and dancing with our mates to a fierce set of performers.
As well as counting the esteemed musician Jamie xx, grime godfather Kano, and the swirling talent of Slowthai on the poster, they’ve also signed up Little Simz, Tom Misch, Pa Salieu, Romy and plenty more. It’s a line-up brimming with Britain’s brightest and a hint that all may not be lost for live music.
Jim King, CEO of European Festivals at AEG Presents, said of the news: “It feels so great to finally be announcing our first day of All Points East 2021. The chance to be back in the summer sun in Victoria Park is itself alone a reason to celebrate. The fact we are coming back with such a great first line up announcement makes this an even sweeter moment.
“There are some exciting changes this year,” the statement continued including our move to the August Bank Holiday weekend. We welcome two sensational co-headliners for the Saturday, Jamie xx and Kano, as well as a host of amazing artists. We can’t wait to welcome back live music in the UK and be back dancing with you all later this summer.”
All Points East will have more line-up announcements to come and, judging by their first attempt, we’ve got something special coming this summer.
It feels so good to announce the return of All Points East to Victoria Park! Kicking off with our first line-up for our 2021 festival, the incredible Jamie xx will be headlining Saturday 28th August alongside the peerless Kano + many more. 🌞— All Points East (@allpointseastuk) March 9, 2021
