At a time when live music seems like a distant memory, a time when millions of people are forced to remain indoors amid strict social distancing measures, Alice Phoebe Lou has offered her own take on music streamed online with a unique cover of an unreleased Paul McCartney track.
This singer-songwriter, who made the bold decision to move from her home in South Africa and thrust herself into the energetic Berlin scene when she was just 19-years-old, has independently self-released her beautiful third record much to the pleasure of her cult following.
The musician, who not long ago met with Far Out Magazine for a conversation about her creative output, took to social media to release her very own rendition of McCartney’s song ‘Deep Deep Feeling’ which is due to appear on the former Beatle’s new album McCartney III.
“To celebrate the upcoming release of Paul McCartney’s new album, I have been given the pleasure of sharing a little version of one of the unreleased songs ‘Deep Deep Feeling’,” Lou wrote in a caption through her official Instagram account.
She added: “It’s been a unique honour to hear unreleased music of Sir Paul & work out my own interpretation with my boys.”
