Alice Glass wins defamation case against Ethan Kath

The defamation case brought against Alice Glass by former Crystal Castles bandmate Ethan Kath has been thrown out of court proclaimed a jubilant Glass on Twitter “I won in court today”. The suit was brought against Glass in a way to defend against the accusations of grievous sexual misconduct made against Kath by Glass herself.

“The defamation lawsuit against me was dismissed! Thank you so much for the love and support throughout this ugly process.” Glass continued, “This is a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct in countries where abusers use the court system to further victimize and keep people silent. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.”

With last week Glass coming out to call out Kath’s defamation case as a way to intimidate other victims of Kath’s abuse who “probably don’t have access to a lawyer and so they’d be too scared to speak out if they think they’ll be sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars.” She concluded, “I refuse to be intimidated by him.”

Glass’ lawyer confirmed and wrote, “Yes, we are extremely pleased with the Court’s decision to grant our motion to strike, which effectively dismisses the complaint in its entirety. As the prevailing, party, we are entitled to attorneys fees and will return to court to obtain an order in that regard.”
