Alfie Templeman has been forced to withdraw from his planned performances at Latitude and Tramlines festival after contracting coronavirus.
After ‘Freedom Day’ allowed the dropping of all significant social distancing regulations earlier this week, both festivals were planned to go ahead as part of the latest stage of the government’s Events Research Programme.
While concerts and music festivals returning is a great step toward life as we knew it before Covid-19, the severe impacts of the ongoing pandemic are still being felt. In the latest news, Templeman has been forced to cancel his planned shows after contracting the virus.
“Gutted to announce that unfortunately I’m no longer able to play Tramlines or Latitude this week as I’ve recently contracted COVID,” Templeman wrote in a statement issued to social media.
Adding: “I’m currently recovering in isolation dreaming about the rest of the wonderful gigs that we have in store for you this year!”
